Published: 2009-03-19 15:27:42 Trade magazine “Property Week” is holding a conference in Croydon, chaired by Will McKee of The Outer London Commission, which will unveil its interim master plan for the regeneration of London’s outer boroughs. The event takes place on June 11th 2009 at the Croydon Park Hotel. Senior representatives of the Commission will detail the blueprint for boosting the economic potential of the outer boroughs and identify key areas for immediate intervention and regeneration - the regeneration of London’s 20 outer “forgotten” boroughs is a vital priority of the current Mayor of London and the newly formed Outer London Commission will advise him on how to accelerate their redevelopment to bolster London’s economic strength for generations to come. The Outer London Summit will bring together the Mayor’s office, commission members and industry leaders to discuss how best the public and private sectors can work together to drive regeneration. Industry leaders speaking at the event include senior representatives of the Mayor’s office, Transport for London and the Homes and Communities Agency, as well as property industry figureheads, including architect Sir Terry Farrell and Liz Peace, Chief Executive of the British Property Federation. Jon Rouse, CEO of Croydon Borough Council will also be speaking about the URV and its impact on Croydon’s regeneration. |
