Residents to get final say on Waddon Leisure Centre plans

Residents are invited to have their say about the plans at two sessions at Waddon Infants School on September 4 and 5.
Proposals for the centre, which will include a six-lane swimming pool, two dance studios, a sports hall and a gym, were first made four years ago and were later expanded to include two blocks of flats. Councillor Steve O’Connell, cabinet member for regeneration and economic development, said: "Although we have never waivered from our commitment to an extensive leisure scheme and pool in Waddon, difficulties encountered as a consequence of the recession mean there have been changes from when the proposals were first announced."
