Croydon on track

The extension work taking place on the East London Line is due to be completed on schedule.
Linking Croydon in the south to Dalston Junction in the north, the new 14-mile line will further improve the borough's transport credentials, and commuters can expect the project to reach completion by 2010.
Transport for London recently took control of the stations at West Croydon and Norwood Junction from Southern, and upgrades are expected to be implemented prior to the official reopening of the line, which is expected in June 2010.
