New Croydon office aims to impressPublished: 2010-03-01 13:56:21 The whole 14th floor of Impact House, a newly-refurbuished 16-storey Croydon office block, has been converted into a panoramic restaurant for a day to help it impress potential clients.
Owned by Tricos Imobiliaria, a family-owned Portuguese company, the 11,400sq m offices of Impact House on Edridge Road have undergone such extensive refurbishment that it almost qualifies as a new building – the first in Croydon for nearly two decades, with three new upper floors , a glass exterior lift and potential for in-house gym and café. On Thursday, March 4, it will provide a drinks reception and three course lunch for up to 80 commercial property agents who are visiting Croydon to find out more about the range of offices available in London's largest and best connected borough. The lunch required a huge amount of additional work from Impact House's contractors, including re-routing air conditioning so the special portable ovens could work without the smell of roasted lamb invading delegates' senses. An event 'route' round the building has also been planned so that delegates can take advantage of the building's impressive exterior glass lifts between the drinks reception and the lunch before they arrive at the 14th floor with its outstanding panoramic views across Croydon. Vanessa Clark of agents Sinclair Clark, who helped to organise the event together with local marketing firm, White Label Consultants, said: "There have been some fantastic office developments taking place in Croydon recently, buildings like Impact House in particular which is virtually a new build and one of the first in Croydon for nearly two decades. We wanted to make sure the key agents got an opportunity to see these buildings for themselves so they could spread the word that Croydon is a great place to do business. "Croydon is the largest office space in the South East and one of the two biggest office centres outside central London; that combined with its location, superb transport links and retail experience should make it a prime choice for companies seeking to relocate." The Open Day tour, organised jointly by the building owners and their agents, will cover a range of office blocks near East Croydon station and will provide agents with a unique chance to view the majority of Croydon's most select offices in a single day. The tour includes Prospect First with its state of the art marketing suite, Carolyn House, Stephenson House, Tolley House, CityLink House, Christopher Wren and Sunley House. |
